About
Recover Canterbury
The Canterbury Development Corporation (CDC) and the Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce (CECC) have combined resources to create a joint venture responsible for driving Canterbury business recovery following the February 22 2011 earthquake.
The group – the Canterbury Business Recovery Group, known as Recover Canterbury – will collaborate with Central and Local Government, the New Zealand and Canterbury business communities and the Christchurch City Council (CCC) to respond to identified needs of the business community.
Dave Sewell Ltd is proud to announce that it is a provider of training to Recover Canterbury, helping local businesses develop and grow in the areas of Marketing Strategies, Sales Strategies, Management Development and Business Strategies. If you qualify for funding assistance through Recover Canterbury then any of the products and services eligible for the NZTE Capability Development Voucher Scheme can be funded. New Zealand Trade & Enterprise Training Provider
In January 2011 Dave Sewell Ltd was confirmed as a provider of training for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) Capability Development Voucher Scheme.
Working closely with NZTE’s partners, Development West Coast, Recover Canterbury, Aoraki Development Business & Tourism, and Enterprise North Canterbury the first recipient of the voucher scheme has already been processed through Development West Coast. This is another very exciting move for Dave Sewell Ltd as it also fits very well with the overall strategy of the business to help and add value to all small to medium size business that need it. For those businesses that may need one to one coaching or a training module in a specific area, this initiative will help that business.

Business Mentors New Zealand
Late 2010 Dave was accepted as a mentor for Business Mentors New Zealand. This organisation is predominantly funded by the Private Sector of New Zealand Business and is supported by 1,600 mentor volunteers throughout New Zealand.
This was an important move for Dave as it fitted well with the overall strategy of the business, to be able to help anyone within the business community that needs it. Business Mentors New Zealand was the logical choice to make to fulfill that strategy. By giving a little of his time, every month, he is able to make a difference to business owners who may not necessarily be able to afford to pay for full business consulting services.
